1. Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Bill Splitter: Receipt Scan (the "Application" or "Software"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and End User License Agreement ("Agreement"). If you do not agree to these terms, do not install or use the Application.
This Agreement incorporates by reference the Apple Standard End User License Agreement (Standard EULA).
2. License Grant & Restrictions
We grant you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the Application on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, in accordance with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
You agree not to:
- Decompile, reverse-engineer, or disassemble any portion of the Software;
- Modify, distribute, resell, or lease the Application or create derivative works;
- Bypass or tamper with any digital rights management or security controls.
3. In-App Purchases & Auto-Renewable Subscriptions
Bill Splitter offers free core functionality (up to 5 free receipt scans per month and 1 saved group) as well as an optional Pro Membership subscription unlock:
3.1 Subscription Plans
- Pro Monthly: $1.99 per month (auto-renews monthly).
- Pro 6 Months: $9.99 per 6 months (auto-renews every 6 months).
- Pro Yearly: $12.99 per year with a 7-Day Free Trial (auto-renews annually).
*Prices may vary by region or local currency based on Apple's standard App Store pricing tiers.
3.2 7-Day Free Trial & Auto-Renewal Policy (Guideline 3.1.2)
- Free Trial: The 7-day free trial is available exclusively to eligible new subscribers of the Pro Yearly plan. Unless canceled at least 24 hours prior to the conclusion of the 7-day trial period, the subscription will automatically convert into a paid annual renewal of $12.99/year.
- Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renewal is turned off in your Apple ID Account Settings at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing cycle.
- Billing: Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
3.3 Managing & Canceling Subscriptions
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your iOS device:
- Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad.
- Tap your Name / Apple ID at the top.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Select Bill Splitter and tap Cancel Subscription.
3.4 Refund Policy
All payments and transactions are processed directly by Apple Inc. If you require a refund, you must submit your request directly to Apple via Apple's official portal:

4. Restoring Purchases
If you change or restore your iOS device, you can restore previously purchased subscriptions at zero additional charge. In Bill Splitter, navigate to Settings -> Upgrade to Pro and tap "Restore Purchases", or use the Restore button at the bottom of the Paywall sheet.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Application is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. While we strive for extreme OCR and calculation accuracy, receipt quality, lighting, and layout variability may affect recognition. Users should always review receipt calculations before finalizing payments.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from the use or inability to use the Application.
7. Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which you reside, excluding conflict-of-law rules.
