2. Information We Process & How It Is Used
2.1 100% On-Device Local Processing
- Receipt Images & OCR Transcription: When you snap or import a receipt, optical character recognition and parsing are performed 100% locally on your iPhone using Apple Vision framework and Foundation Models. Receipt images and line item prices never leave your device.
- Dining Bills & History: All bills, participants, dining items, and debt records are stored exclusively in your device's local application sandbox.
- No Account Required: The Application does not require account creation, social login, or telephone number verification. You can use all core features anonymously.
2.2 Device Permissions & Scope
The Application requests system permissions only when you explicitly invoke corresponding features:
- Camera (
NSCameraUsageDescription): Used solely to capture physical receipts for real-time text recognition. Captured photos are saved locally in the app sandbox. - Photo Library (
NSPhotoLibraryUsageDescription): Used solely to select receipt photos from your gallery. We only access images you specifically select. - Contacts (
NSContactsUsageDescription, Optional): Used solely to allow you to quickly pick friends' names when creating dining groups. Contact information is read-only and never transmitted over the network. - Notifications (Optional): Used solely to schedule local, on-device reminders for outstanding dining balances. No remote push notifications are used.
3. Third-Party Services & Data Sharing
- Zero Data Selling: We never sell, rent, monetize, or disclose your data to third-party data brokers, ad networks, or analytics platforms.
- Zero Tracking SDKs: The Application contains zero third-party advertising SDKs or behavioural tracking tools.
- Apple StoreKit 2 Payments: All In-App Purchases and auto-renewable subscriptions are processed directly and securely through Apple's StoreKit 2 infrastructure. We never collect or store your payment card numbers, banking details, or billing addresses.
4. Data Retention & Deletion
Because your data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control over its retention:
- You can delete individual bills or dining groups directly within the app at any time.
- Uninstalling the Application permanently and immediately removes all local data from your device sandbox.
5. Children's Privacy
The Application does not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13 (or the applicable statutory age in your jurisdiction). If we discover that any child's data has been inadvertently collected, we will take immediate steps to delete it.
